Welsh Cycling Mountain Bike Dirt Day

Welsh Cycling will host the first Mountain Bike Dirt Day at Cwmcarn Forest on Monday 30 March 2015, with world champion Manon Carpenter.
Welsh Cycling have launched Mountain Bike Dirt Days to give young riders the opportunity to get into cross country mountain biking and start racing, with tips and advice from world class athletes.

Manon Carpenter will be part of the first Mountain Bike Dirt Day in March, “Dirt Days are a great idea to get young people into mountain biking and giving them skills and confidence to go and race. I regularly ride the trails at Cwmcarn and have done since I was younger, so I'm really looking forward to coming along and joining in with the day!"

The first Mountain Bike Dirt Day will take place at Cwmcarn Forest Drive on Monday 30 March from 9.30am until 3.00pm, where riders will be able to ride with Manon on the led ride, and challenge her in the Mountain Bike Cross Country Time Trial. There will be skills and pump track coaching from Welsh Cycling coaches, culminating in fun challenges testing new skills.

The Mountain Bike Dirt Days are aimed at youth riders aged 13 – 16 who want to develop their mountain bike skills and get into racing in Wales and across the UK. Mountain Bike Dirt Days are free, riders need to bring their own mountain bike and helmet and bring lunch and snacks to fuel them for the day of activities.
