Did you know that Wales makes fabulous cider that rivals Britains legendary cider regions Somerset and Herefordshire? Why not join us on a Cider Adventure to Raglan Cider Mill owned by James and Sally Perks and discover some of the best cider Wales has to offer.
On our tour, we will visit their unique Orchard Museum which contains samples of all the traditional varieties of Welsh Cider apples and Perry pears. If nature is on our side, the trees will be laden with fruit and you will learn about the apples and pears that go into making fabulous perry and cider.
After our meander around the orchard, we will head to the Raglan Cider Mill Cider House which is one of only two in the whole of Wales. Here, Sally will give you a back stage pass to the art of traditional cider making, followed by a tutored tasting for you to discover the world of traditional craft cider.
After our tour, we will head to The Clytha Arms Pub and Restaurant. The Clytha Arms was voted Country Pub of the Year 2011 and highly commended in 2012 by The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). They are also celebrating 20 years of being featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Here you will enjoy a 2 course lunch featuring the finest local produce. The Clytha Arms is also renowned for its selection of craft cider and perry.
