Caerphilly Christmas Fayre

Established as one of Wales’s largest Christmas markets and attracting visitors from far and wide, the Caerphilly Christmas Fayre is set to return in just under a month on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th December.

Visitors will experience Christmas through the ages as the town and castle embraces the traditions of Christmas past and present.

Visitors will experience the sights, sounds and smells of a town and castle preparing for Christmas.

Inspired by a modern day Christmas, Caerphilly town will be dressed with over 100 festive stalls, including a Farmers Market and Continental Market, which will drape the town centre with indulgent food, creative craft and charming gift stalls.

Influenced by the origins of Christmas as Cadw embrace a 'Victorian Christmas' whereby Caerphilly Castle will be transformed back to a Victorian fairytale full of decadence and romance.

Along with free entry for children, the event’s traditional fairground rides, smells of mulled wine and a special visit from Father Christmas will create a magical experience for visitors to discover. There will also be Victorian ghost tales, craft workshops and much more.

Through the mixture of a traditional Victorian Christmas and present day festivities, the Caerphilly Christmas Fayre will have something for everyone to enjoy, whether visitors have previously attended or are first discovering the festive event.
