Walk - Gallt y Tlodion/Poor man's Wood, Llandovery

Walk through a woodland with a fascinating history

Please meet at Llandovery Heritage Centre at 1 30pm

This walk is suitable for children above the age of 10

We should return by 4 30pm.

The Reserve comprises 17 hectares of beautiful ancient upland oak woodland, with a hazel understorey.

It lies along a steep north-west facing slope, overlooking he Bran valley.

This woodland has a fascinating history, being bequeathed to the town of Llandovery in the 16th century by Vicar Prichard, the author of Cannwyll y Cymry, or “The Welshman’s Candle”.
