The annual Cordell Festival takes place at Rhondda Heritage Park in 2010 as part of the 100th Anniversary of the Tonypandy Riots. The weekend will include:
Performances by Dawson Smith and the Exiles.
Tours around Tonypandy - where the "lock out" of 100 years ago lead to the riots on the streets.
Go back in time with demonstrations of old toys and "Mam's wash day".
Free tours of Rhondda Heritage Park and walks around the area.
Readings from Cordell's books and ghost stories.
Music from Treorchy Male Choir, from Heritage Ladies Singers and other.
All in all, a full days entertainment and an opportunity to write your own "Mini Saga" in Cordell's writing room.
