Waunfawr Gwynedd Snowdonia Mountains and Coast Wales

Waunfawr is a small village set surrounded by lovely hills leading to Mount Snowdon. The village is only a 5 minute drive from the Royal Town of Caernarfon with its historic Castle.

A number of cycle trails and footpaths lead from the village which are well signposted and easy to follow.

Main attractions

the village pub - Snowdon Park Hotel, currently the CARMA regional best pub within Gwynedd.

The Welsh Highland Railway passes through Waunfawr and its station is set adjacent to the Snowdon Park Hotel. A great way to travel from Caernarfon past Mount Snowdon down to Beddgelert then through the gorge tunnels to Porthmadoc where it meets up with the Festiniog Railway.

Antur Waunfawr - a charity run by locals has an interesting visitor centre and garden centre.
