My paintings are inspired by the landscapes and other subjects. Most of my time is spent in the mountains, studying the landscape on foot and on horse back.
It's a challenging process which enables me to be creative in a new, evocative way, giving a spiritual dimension to my work.
Combining emotional and personal experiences with colour creates symbolism in some of my paintings, which aims to provoke the viewers to see fresh images.
I have exhibited paintings in solo and mixed shows, selling work locally and in Cardiff. In Cardiff I worked on a gallery committee with artist Tony Goble and other artists, which was rewarding and inspirational.
I am a qualified fine art lecturer and professional artist currently teaching adults for Monmouthshire Community Education Department. My fine art degree was undertaken with artist Professor Terry Shave.
I completed a PGCE in Education in the University of Cardiff, which enabled me to teach from GCSE to Degree level.
