Mary Cousins Ceramics

I make tableware in porcelain and stoneware. I think using hand made casseroles, mugs, jugs, bowls and plates makes food taste special.

All my work is thrown on the wheel, then high fired for strength, durability and in the case of porcelain, for its beautiful translucency.

I make strong shapes which I hope appeal to the hand and eye, a little jug with flowers in or a gratin dish of oven baked pasta, both should add something to your table.

Working in clay is endlessly satisfying, it’s a long process and when something pleasing or even unexpected comes out of the kiln, it’s a good feeling.

Living and working in the beautiful county of Monmouthshire is always an inspiration.

You can find my work at Craft Renaissance Gallery, Kemys Commander, near Usk.

I am happy to discuss commissions.
