Cig Oen Maethlon

Cig Oen Maethlon,a large farmstead with 350 acres of land, set behind the beautiful backdrop of Tywyn in Snowdonia rears and sells prime Welsh lamb and beef.

The company run by Idris & Mari Evans has been in operation for 9 years, with the farm being Idris' childhood home and where he developed his agricultural knowlegde which became invaluable when the farm changed hands in 2002. The business itself is run purely on the their farm at Erw Faethlon.

Mari Evans has great passion for her produce and so takes great pleasure in making traditional meat recipes such as pies, faggots etc. This has gone on to be a second business; 'Cegin Maethlon', which sells these excellent dishes to the public.

Cig Oen Maethlon (aswell as Cegin Maethlon) can be found regularly at the Country Market in Dolgellau, as well as attending the Machynlleth Primary School Market, in association with the Mid Wales Food & Land Trust.
