"Glass is one of the most exciting, colourful and pleasurable medium that an artist can use.The result from glass casting provides an almost holographic image which is ever changing depending on the play of light"

I have lived in Monmouth for 13 years and my workshop/studio overlooks the beautiful rolling hills of the Wye Valley. The view influences my colour palette and my numerous trips to the museums and galleries of Europe inspire the subject matter which is mostly of the human form inspired by the great classical sculptures.

I work with both glass and clay which allows me to explore the possible combinations of the two materials. I have a great need to experiment and push the boundary on what is possible with kiln formed glass using the clay to make the sculptures. My latest work is created using lost wax casting technique following an inspiring masterclass in 2010 with Keith Cummings.

My latest series of sculptures "on the outside looking in ...." were selected for the Handmade in Britain Design Book. This work combines both the lost wax and open cast technique.
