Stalls within the MiM stand featured paintings by David Haswell and Nora Lewis alongside the work of jewellery makers Annette Yates, Louise Lovell, Marion Meek and Lynn Kirsten Clarke, handweaver Stuart Neale, metal worker Chris Goodgame, woodturner Mike Bloomfield and calligrapher Tessie Cooling.

Becky Hughes, adventa’s Tourism Innovation Officer, said the event was a unique opportunity to introduce Monmouthshire’s makers to a new audience.
“With this year’s National Eisteddfod right on our doorstep we decided we should really make our presence felt – and the stand did a roaring trade (was a huge success), attracting hundreds of visitors.”

Local food producers – including Wye Valley and Usk Valley Apiaries, Parva Farm Vineyard, Trealy Farm Charcuterie and Neil James Butchers – were also featured at the Eisteddfod in the Welsh Assembly’s food hall, where adventa organised a series of cooking demonstrations using the best of Monmouthshire ingredients.
