EAT YOUR WAY ROUND THE LLYN

One must sample the Glasfryn Welsh Black Beef, the rose coloured beef is indigenous to the area and of the highest quality. Quality can also be associated with Cig Moch Pen Llyn, the bacon is widely available in local farm shops, delicatessens and butchers. There is a strong tradition of farmhouse dairy production in the area, and this is reflected in the range of speciality cheeses available, the most famous of those being Caws Llyn, a mature, full flavoured cheddar cheese from South Caernarfon Creameries. Local producers, a number of these specialising in organic farming, supply fresh fruit and vegetables, resulting in produce of the finest quality.

With all this quality produce it comes as no surprise to find the area littered with a selection of high calibre eateries, from delightful country pubs and cafes to bistros and award winning restaurants. Why not sample some Bara Brith or Welshcakes in one of the many tearooms.
