Come and explore CADW's latest community archaeology project, the Iron Age Llanmelin hill fort near the Roman town of Caerwent. There will be:
- Guided tours by achaeologists
- Hands on activities for all the family
- Live copper smelting and casting
- A chance to learn about the site and Iron-age south-east Wales.
Dogs welcome. Meet at Caerwent West Gate (see map) for a shuttle bus to the site!

IMPORTANT
There is NO PARKING near the site. Free shuttle bus every 30 minutes from Caerwent West Gate barns car park (See map, NP26 5AU) to Llanmelin and back again.
Access from the road is a moderate up hill walk through the woods, so please wear sturdy footwear as the ground is uneven.
