Ever wanted to watch Shakespeare in a Roman Ampitheatre? Perhaps listen to poetry in the ambience of Roman Baths? Or simply relax with a drink watching artists at work in the ancient town of Caerleon?
Well if so, the 10th Annual Caerleon Festival is for you. A week long literary & artistic event followed by a 2 day festival on Hanbury Field. Check back regularly for the latest updates on planned events!
The final of the first all-Wales Comic Verse Competition will take place on July 8th in the garden of the Priory Hotel. This competition is now open, with a closing date of May 1st.

Shakespeares Richard III, will be staged on Friday, July 13th in the Roman Amphitheatre by the Festival Players.
The Blaenavon Male Voice choir will return, singing alongside Britains Got Talent finalist Greg Pritchard.

Once again we can look forward to a wonderful afternoon of Shakespeare at the Wheatsheaf, with a delectable Hog Roast to follow the performance. Please make a date (preferably the 27th May) in your diary to join us during this year of the World Shakespeare Festival.

Poetry in the Baths - National Poet Gillian Clarke heads a line-up of poets reciting their best works in the Roman Baths.
Musical Events - A series of musical events are planned throughout the town, acts TBA.
Shakespeare at the Ampitheatre - On July 13th, Richard III shall be performed by the Festival Players in the Roman Ampitheatre.
