Poetry this November comes on a Monday, not the Saturday we usally hold it! However, whilst the day may change, the fantastic line ups and poetry does not. This month, Catherine Fisher & Lemn Sissay.
CATHERINE FISHER
Catherine is both an acclaimed poet and novelist, with writing ranging from science fiction to fantasy. Her poetry has led her to winning the Cardiff International Poetry competition in 1990 as well as nominations for many other awards.
LEMN SISSAY
Lemn is the first commissioned poet for the 2012 Olympics, reflecting how well regarded he is in British culture. Born and brought up in Britain with Ethiopian & Eritrean parents, Lemn is able to draw from a variety of cultural traditions to infuse his poetry. He has performed all over the World, and is delighted to be performing in Wales.
Join us then for an autumnal feast of imagery and ideas as two brilliant speakers of their poems come together for an evening of elegant, emotional and frankly delicious poetry.
