Milling around Talgarth
Join us for a moderate 8 mile circular walk through Trefecca to Mynydd Troed and Penyrwrlodd Long Barrow where the remains of at least fifteen humans, along with flint arrow heads and a flint knife and most interesting of all a hollow sheep bone which appears to be fashioned into a flute, making it the earliest musical instrument found in the British Isles! Visit a popular and dramatic film location on this moderate level walk with two National Park wardens who have worked closely with film and television companies at this site. Learn a little about the filming of Dr Who, Merlin and The Hitchhikers Guide to name but three and more about the areas environmental value and the conservation challenges which face it. The Sugar Loaf summit and Ancient Oaks
An energetic 8 mile circular walk to the summit of the Sugar Loaf via St. Marys Vale and Mynydd Pen-y-fal, returning through the ancient oaks of Deri Wood. Learn about the work of the National Trust, enjoy some rewarding views and discover the stories behind some of the features you will pass. Brecon Town Past and Present
Discover Brecons sites of distinction, fascinating past and residents of renown on this gentle 2 mile walk around the town. Finish your tour with a visit to Cantre Selyf, believed to be the oldest domestic dwelling in Brecon, for wonderful cake and tea at a cost of £3 per person. Suggested donation £1 per adult. Pen y Fan Circular
Enjoy great views on this 4½ mile energetic walk to the summit of the highest mountain in southern Britain. Step back in time to the Bronze Age and visit the site of the obelisk raised to tragic Tommy Jones. Total ascent: 525m.
