The Fabulous Fezheads are England's Premier Sand Dance Vaudevillian Illusionists carrying on in the tradition of Old 'Blind Ned' Cleggett with his famous stage act of the 1920's and 30's, and actually starring his Great-Grandson Pete 'the Flying' Cleggett .
Under the watchful eye of Father Ken and featuring Keith the Camel, the Fabulous Fezheads blend a mixture of Dance, Danger and Music that will Astound, Astonish and Amuse.

What you can expect to see when the Fezheads perform
(and what you probably won't)
ENTRANCE WITH SARCOPHAGUS
The Sarcophagus of Dhoom or Sarcophagus of Sudden Death marks the start of the Fabulous Fezheads' performance. Pete (The Flying) Cleggett will perform his act of escapology in front of a live audience, and unusually for such a stunt, whilst completely surrounded by spectators! Once seen, never forgotten, this is truly a remarkable spectacle.
SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE OLD BAZAAR IN CAIRO
One of the newer dances, this is based on the frenzied activities seen in Cairo when The Fabulous Fezheads went on a fact finding mission in 1995. After a day spent out in the desert, The Fabulous Fezheads returned and roamed the Bazaar, took refreshment and bathed in the unique atmosphere. They watched and learned. This dance is the culmination of that learning.
SONS OF THE DESERT
It is a little known fact that when travelling across the desert, it is common for indigenous peoples to swap headgear while travelling, usually whilst at rest at the Motorway Service Oasis.
We have learnt that this is based upon a sound scientific principle of differential body heat quotients; A person's body heat is dependent upon many factors, body weight, height, and amount of hair being the major three. This dance is based upon the movements undertaken whilst transferring their felt headgear.
FIG & DATE
A full history of this dance and the amazing Fayre that has grown around it is fully explained within this site. So please follow your mouse about our house.
ADONIS KEBAB & THE BAYONETS OF BAGDAD
This dance is a skilful blend of traditional English sword dancing and Moroccan sabre dancing. As expected, combining two such different traditions called for many hours of planning, discussion and practice. An early version of this ended with the swords being grouped together to form a six-pointed star, but this was dropped after it led to a misunderstanding during a performance in Cairo in 1973. We are however, rather proud of the present finished effort. Audiences throughout the land are always been amused and entertained whenever the Fezheads have appeared with weapons tightly gripped and ready for this colourful display.
THE DANCE OF OUR FATHERS
At weddings, parties, wakes and Bah Mitzvahs (we do not get invited to these, strangely enough) around the known world male parents are displaying amazing feats of body co-ordination coupled with a suspect sense of rhythm. These are features entirely familiar to Fezheads who, in recognition, have produced the Dance of our Fathers, or Dad Dancing as it is also known. As well as strange movements of the feet this dance also features contrived exchanges of headgear (see Sons of the Desert).
COMMENCE THE DANCING
When Plongs fingers get numb from excessive playing or George has forgotten the tune, due to his being in a parallel dimension, or the musicians are all too drunk to play, the Fezheads must resort to singing for musical accompaniment. Noting that Laurel and Hardy made a film called "Sons of the Desert". And their fan club is known as The Sons of the Desert. With this coinciding with a Fezhead performance piece called Sons of the Desert, it was obvious that we would adapt a dance from Laurel and Hardys "Way Out West."
SAND DANCE
The one and only! A classic! A legend! A tour de force! A coup de grace! A cul de sac!
KNEE DANCE
The Fezheads only PG rated dance. Not to be viewed by the feint hearted as some of the lads expose parts of their bodies that are really best kept hidden.
LACES OF FIRE
In celebration of the Flying Clegget learning to tie his shoe laces at the age of 34 he decided to make a public spectacle of himself (no change there!) practicing this complex activity. I know what your thinking, but we dont have the heart to tell him!
HEAVY HOOPS OF DESTINY
This opens with members of the troupe bringing on hoops that look extremely heavy. Audiences are left to guess the actual weight of the hoops and/or the strength of the hoop bearers. We are grateful for the help rendered by a certain four-year-old who came to the aid of Jheem, who was struggling with his hoop on one particular morning (following one particular evening).
MAGIC RUG OF AMOC
This involves the Flying Cleggett being wrapped up in what, to many people, appears to be a bit of manky old carpet, he then inexplicably disappears!? This is not altogether surprising, as spectators standing downwind of the Rug of AMOC have also been known to swiftly depart the vicinity.
CLEGGET THE ESCAPOLOGIST
There is no end to the talent embodied within the Flying Cleggett, and no beginning either. Nevertheless, despite all efforts of the Fezheads to place him win the Sarcophagus of Dhoom, he still manages to somehow get out.
Plus Morris dancing, belly dancing, fun, games and other strange capers.
