The Bakers' Table Cafe and Bakery make everything from scratch including bread, cakes, lunches, pastries and savouries. We have a wood fired oven which we use for pizzas and some of our bread. We offer a range of bread baking courses for beginners and more advanced bakers, using the flour from Talgarth Mill.
We use local ingredients of top quality including James Gourmet Coffee, Rowlestone Farmhouse Icecream, Black Mountains Preserves, Aber Valley and Graig Barn Farm Apple Juice, Brian George family butcher, Black Mountains Smokery and Welsh Farmhouse Cheeses from Country Fayre.
In 2013 we were runners up in the National Tourism Awards for Wales in the Category Best Place to Eat - Cafe.
We featured in Britain's Best Bakery on ITV in January 2014, winning our regional heat (North and Mid Wales) but being beaten in our regional final (Wales and Central England) by Maison Mayci from Birmingham.
We are finalists in the 2013 Countryside Alliance Awards in the Category Local Food.
We are members of the Real Bread Campaign.
We welcome group bookings and can cater for private parties and special events. We sell gift vouchers that can be used in the Cafe, for courses or pizza nights.
