Rural Cafe Scoops National Acclaim for Vegetarian Food

Hidden away in the Snowdonia hills, just around the corner from lyn Padarn & Llanberis lies the tiny village of Brynrefail which hosts the cafe that's getting a big name for its vegetarian food.

According to an ever growing fanbase of local customers it is one of the few places in North Wales serving imaginative vegetarian food alongside, for instance, an organic baguette with oah smoked bacon from the local award-winning butcher.

The team of chefs create daily specials using a healthy mix of local and organic ingredients.

Examples of the daily specials are:-
Broad Bean, Feta & Dill ‘Hummus’ Wraps;
Salmon Teriyaki with Wasabi Mayonnaise Potato Salad;
Spinach & Gruyere Tortilla;
Pea & Mint Ricotta Torte;
Slow Cooked Shoulder of Welsh Lamb;
Chicken Tagine with Prunes;
Caban Garden Mangetout, 5 spice & Coconut Curry;
Summer Tomato & Miso Soup with local organic tomatoes, peas, chard, caban garden purslane, topped with sunflower seeds & nori seaweed;

The Which? 2008 Good Food Guide mentions the 'Globetrotting Buffets' which are held on Saturday evenings (Booking essential 01286 685 500).

Decent food at an affordable price.
