Ty Bryn Cider

Over recent years we have won numoruos awards including silver at the 2009 True Taste Awards and three star Great Taste Awards

Ty-Bryn Cider, Perry and apple juice is produced
at Upper House Farm, Grosmont located in north Monmouthshire. We are a working farm that has been farmed by three generations of the Watkins family.
The cider is produced from apples grown in our old fashioned trditional grazed orchards.

Our cider is made from a blend of varieties, some old like Tom Putt and some more modern varieties like Dabinett. All of our cider is pressed on our working farm where it is left to mature in traditional oak barrels, and stored in a stone cellar which was built in the 1700's for storing cider.

Over the past few years our perries and ciders have won several awards including four consecutive gold awards for the sweetened sparkling bottled cider at the Welsh Championships. At the 2009 Great Taste Awards a gold award, three stars, was won for their Discovery and Bramley apple juice and one star for their bottled cider. A silver award at the 2009 Wales True Taste competition was won with the same apple juice in the non-alcholic catagory. In 2010 we won the champion perry at the Welsh Perry and Cider championships along with a silver medal for the champion cider. In 2011 and 2017 we gained a silver medal for our sweet draught perry at the WPCS championships. In 2012 and 2017 we we gained a gold award for our bottled sparkling perry. In 2013 we received a silver medal for our Blakeney red perry, the same variety also went on to get a gold medal in 2014, when we also recieved a bronze award for our sunset cider.
Plus numerous other awards more recently.

We enjoy producing a selection of welsh perries and ciders to suite all tastes. We also provide a pressing service for others to make their own perry, ciders and juices.
