Designer pasta and chactuterie imported from Italy

"Living Philosophy" is the title of a best-selling book written by Ray Billington, former Head of Philosophy at the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. The book, which is in its third edition, was written to encourage students and lay persons alike, with little or no philosophical knowledge, to benefit from the values of philosophical discourse.

Monthly meetings are addressed by a speaker whose talk is followed by a discussion.

Professor Ray Billington is the main speaker and other speakers from the group.

LYCEUM 2008

The monthly meeting at the home of Hatti and Ray started on the third Saturday in October and will continue until the third Saturday in May. The lecturer is Ray and his theme this year is Eastern Philosophy, English Philosophy, and Existentialism. It has attracted between 14 and 20 mature students, many of whom have attended all the previous courses. The day begins with a lecture at 10am and is followed by a coffee break, a lecture and lunch provided by Hatti. The afternoon session begins at 2pm and finishes at 4pm. The cost is.£15 per day, lunch is £8.50, soft drinks included, coffee or tea is available all day for £1.00 and wine by the glass also £1.00. Lyceum THE ISMS OF PHILOSOPHY

A day course for Cardiff University begins in October and continues until May.
It takes place in the Lyceum, Springfield, Tintern
(the home of Prof. Ray Billington and and Hatti Pegram).
every third Saturday in the month Lunch is provided by Hatti of The Italian Garden

The course looked at the the whole of Western philosophy from the pre-Socratics to Wittgenstein. The tutor was Ray Billington.

The third Tuesday of every month the is a meeting of the Tintreren Philosophy Circle at the Rose and Crown pub at 7:30.
