Tintern Youth Club was formed in 2007 to provide children of the community and neighbouring villages the opportunity to meet in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and enjoy sporting and creative activities as well as just having fun.
Presently the club is open to children between the ages of 7 and 13 and is run by village adults with the support of Monmouthshire Youth Services personnel.
The club is currrently held in the Village Hall every Wednesday evening in school term time. It starts at 6:30 and finishes at 8:00.
It is hoped that if additional support can be found the club could be extended to older youngers but additional adult support is required.
The club is run under the auspices of 'The Tintern Youth Project' who aim to provide youth activities in the village focussed on a new Youth Centre. Planning permission to build the centre has been obtained and it will be located adjacent to the Village Hall.
