The spectacular ironworks were built in the late 18th century and are a scheduled ancient monument.
Both picnic site and Ironworks are at the lower end of the wooded Clydach Gorge and within the Brecon Beacons National Park. They are also close to the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape World Heritage Site.
The Clydach Gorge Caravan Park is operated privately and is open between March and October. For details see website link
