The new Blaenavon World Heritage Centre, situated in the former St Peter's Church School, which was originally built to provide free education for the ironworker's children in 1815, will continue the educational mission of its predecessor but in a modern and exciting way.
The centre features displays, film and multi-media screens to help visitors to appreciate the significance of Blaenavon's Industrial Landscape and to understand the historical links that exist between well known sites in the area such as Big Pit and Blaenavon Ironworks.
Facilities at the centre include car and coach parking; toilets; conference rooms, landscaped grounds and the Heritage Cafe.
The centre has a year round programme of exhibitions, events and educational activities.
Conveniently situated in the heart of Blaenavon.
