Our aim is to give everyone a pleasant, enjoyable and safe flight. Ballooning is an adventure, a magic carpet ride, something not to be rushed. The flight will last for about one hour, the whole outing usually takes between 3 and 4 hours. We fly in the late afternoon or evening and soon after dawn to take advantage of the stable air and light winds found at these times of the day. We do not fly if it is raining or very windy. The main flying season is March to October, however, "Exclusive" flights are available throughout the year. For further information see the website or call us.
Ballooning, like serendipity, is the art of making happy and unexpected discoveries by chance. Where we go is entirely dependent upon the wind. No two flights are the same. The average distance we travel is ten miles, affording you stunning views of the surrounding scenery.
Age is no barrier to enjoying this spectacular journey, our passengers ages range from nine to ninety! We provide a friendly and personal service. Passengers may like to help lay out and launch the balloon or simply leave this to our ground crew. For your safety and comfort we suggest you wear outdoor clothing suitable for the time of year. A balloon basket is a brilliant platform for photography, bring a camera or camcorder, plenty of memory and a spare battery!
Chilled Champagne or orange juice is served in-flight with our compliments. Each passenger receives a commemorative flight certificate signed by the pilot. Our experienced retrieve crew, who are in radio contact with the balloon, meet us on landing and will return you to the launch site, near Usk, Tintern or Raglan (depending on wind direction).

News & Special Offers
The successful Ballooning Network passenger hot air annual flying season may be at an end, however, that does not mean that activity in the ballooning world ceases! Highlights have been the start of our relationship with the Meningitis Now and flying Grubber the Rugby League World Cup mascot at the balloon fiesta to name but two. Whilst it is true, some pilots may continue flying by departing these shores for far flung tropical paradises, there is lots to be done at home, behind the scenes and flying passengers taking advantage of our Winter Special, Exclusive Flights for two.
Yes, for part of the 2013 season the weather was its usual unpredictable self, causing disappointment to some, but that stoic streak came to the fore and many passengers who regretfully did suffer many cancelations got to fly and had the experience of a lifetime, as the thank you cards and on-line endorsements testify.
True, the economy is still not in its best shape and people are being careful and researching the product before booking, however, many realise that a Champagne hot air balloon flight with Ballooning Network is a very worthwhile investment for that special anniversary, birthday, family get together or for couples that chance to escape from the mobile phone for a few hours in a VIP balloon all to themselves (plus the pilot of course).
Christmas will soon be upon us and once more there will be the search for that special present for the person who thought they had done everything (possibly). We realise funds are squeezed with more and more presents to buy, so watch our website homepage for seasonal and other offers on-line in the run up to the festive season.
Saying new year reminds us that it is not that far away and there will soon be a significant date upon us. 1st March, not least the start of the main flying season but also St.Davids Day and as it falls on the rest weekend of the six nations rugby, even the most diehard fan can be torn from their television for a flight! Mothering Sunday on 30th March is another example of where demand outstrips supply, early bookings are always recommended for important dates.
And by the time you have blinked an eye , yes the 2014 Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is with us! Ballooning Network has already put its tickets on line and yes, these are already selling, the early birds offer really benefiting those willing to book well ahead. We sold out ahead of the 2013 event so best to act fast!
Over the winter, plans will be made, maintenance undertaken and everything kept free of dust ready for the year to come. How this will turn out, unlike some activities is not wholly in our own hands, we all know the British Weather has a habit of trying to control our destiny. However, being ready and anticipating, means that Ballooning Network will be ready to go Up Up and Away, in its beautiful balloons!
