I can offer suggestions and guiding on a huge variety of mountain walks to suit all levels of experience and ability. Also see the scrambling page if you want to have a go at something a bit more challenging.

Mountain skills - build your skills and confidence to tackle the highest peaks.

I am a provider of the Mountain Training Hill and Mountain Skills scheme. This is a great way to get into hill and mountain walking - please see the separate tab for details.

1 or 2 day advanced mountain skills course - designed to give experienced hillwalkers instruction in additional skills to safely get about the hills in summer conditions. The course will look at navigation in poor visibility, rope work and emergency procedures. This is ideal for those you lead others in the hills or are working towards the Mountain Leader qualification website link The courses will be mostly practical and all instruction will be carried out during a walk in the mountains.

Mountain Leader refresher.

Brush up or refresh your skills before assessment . These courses can be 1, 2 or 3 days and will look at navigation, security on steep ground, group management and whatever you feel you need to revise.

Navigation courses.

Basic - map reading and use of compass. How to plan and follow a route over mountainous terrain. Suitable for those with little or no map reading experience.

Advanced - navigate in reduced visibility to smaller features, re-location techniques, use of GPS and mobile phones.

14 Peaks - fancy a monster challenge?

Climb all of Snowdonia's 3000ft mountains!!

Climb them all in 1 day for a truly massive day out or spread them out over 2 or 3 days. Either way you do it will be enormously challenging and leave you thoroughly satisfied!
