Beacons-Caving

Beacons Caving is based in the Brecon Beacons National Park and can offer tailored caving trips for complete beginners. We will ease you into these fantastic underground chambers and calm your fears. We will show you around the large passageways and explain how these places were formed. We will show you underground showers and rivers and when your ready will talk you through how to get through the smaller challenges.

Beacons caving is run by a member of the Association of Caving Instructors. Members of the ACI hold the highest caving instructor qualification in the UK. we can offer training for cavers wishing to gain more confidence to go caving on their own, such as how to navigate, interpret guide books, how to judge flooding capabilities of a cave, and general safety aspects.

Beacons caving can run Single Rope Technique training courses for beginners wishing to learn vertical caving techniques. We can also run SRT refresher days, SRT rigging courses for those wishing to lead vertical trips and SRT rescue courses so that you can rescue your injured friends on a vertical trip.
