BActive provides opportunities for people to learn new skills in the outdoors, from orienteering to sea kayak adventures and where better to do this than in Rhoscolyn on the coast of Anglesey, North Wales.
A designated ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ with a rugged coastline, sandy beaches and cliff top walks it’s a great place for an introduction to the outdoors.
From our base at Outdoor Alternative we offer a range of activities including: Kayaking, Sea Kayaking, Improvised Raft Building, Canoeing, Orienteering, Team Building days and Treasure Hunts - there’s something for everyone!
All our activities are tailored to the needs of the individual or group and are led by experienced and qualified staff.

Rhoscolyn is a fantastic place to kayak. Whether you want a fun taster session, introductory course, or an adventurous day out exploring the coastline with an experienced local guide.
There is kayaking within easy reach at all levels with classic sea-touring, overfalls, surf, and daily moving water at the Inland Sea.
The coastline is stunning, and attracts international visitors on a regular basis. There are caves, inlets, coves and beautiful beaches. There is plenty to see, with stunning rock scenery and seals and sea-birds in profusion on the outlying stacks and islands. Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula provide a wonderful mountain backdrop to many of the trips.
We can cater for individuals, families and groups.
No previous experience is necessary and all personal equipment is provided.

In addition to our Kayaking and Canoeing activities we also offer a range of other activities for groups. Our group activities are planned around the needs and abilities of the group, whether you are a school or youth group looking for fun and challenge or a work group looking for team building, we have activities to suit you!
