Taff Valley Quad Bike & Activity Centre

An exciting way to explore the stunning Welsh countryside

A family run activity centre with over 16 years experience. We specialise in offering Quad Bike treks out through the countryside on our 360 acre working hill farm. We also offer taster sessions in Archery with a Grand National Archery Society Coach and Clay Pigeon Shooting with guides from a local shooting club. With our experienced and fun outdoor pursuits instructors we also hold Gorge Walking activities in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

We also specialise in arrange Corporate Teambuilding events and Youth Group Residentials.

The quad biking is suitable for ages 7yo and upwards. For the 7-11yo we have a dedicated 150m circuit, where they can either have a bike each or share bikes. Excellent for birthday parties. Juniors start on safety line 50cc quads, where the instructor holds a safety line which can cut the engine immediately should the junior have any difficulty. Then they move onto the automatic 50cc quad bikes.

For the 12yo's and over, including adults, we offer a quad trek out through the countryside, with the challenge of negotiating varying terrain. Start off on a practice circuit, then move off onto the easiest fields and work your way through to more challenging parts of the farm, on a route to suit your ability. We have two adult bikes, 90cc and 250cc. They are designed for different heights and weight. They are semi-automatic, which means they have gears but no clutch. They are very easy to get to grips with!

This is an exciting way to see some fabulous views and countryside.

Archery is an ancient and underestimated activity. It demands a lot of skill and concentration. Its not as easy as you might think. With our Grand National Archery Society Coaches, you will be taught the proper techniques needed to hit that target! Start off on lighter, easier, training bows and work up to the higher poundage target bows. There's also arrows to suit your build. Archery can start from around 8yo.

We can hold the archery indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather.

Clay Pigeon Shooting - not laser shooting, but the real thing! With expert shooters from a local shooting club who have bags of enthusiasm and experience, learn the basics of shooting with a 25 shot session. Start off with easier shots and work your way through to more trickier shots, finishing with two clays coming at the same time! we don't recommend the activity for youngsters, but we can arrange it by pre appointment.

Gorge Walking is an exhilarating activity where you will definitely get wet! Kit out into wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and oversuits and into the river you go! At an excellent site in the Brecon Beacons where 3 rivers converge, also known as the Waterfall region, enjoy a day of river walking, climbing up waterfalls, jumping into plunge pools and helping eachother across the rivers and rocks.

We also link with other providers in the area. If you need accommodation or would like to mix our activities with other activities, we can certainly help you out.

Our centre is ideally located between Cardiff and the Brecon Beacons, just off the A470. We're only 20mins from the centre of Cardiff, and only 30mins from Brecon.

Family fun for all ages
