A member of Caerphilly Tourism Association - working together to promote tourism
Set in an acre of gardens and woodland, Gellihaf House Bed & Breakfast, built in 1931 and with many original features, is a large family home with two rooms available for Bed & Breakfast. In Caerphilly Region with Cardiff 16 miles south and the Brecon Beacons 14 miles north the house is well situated for business use or to explore South Wales.
Recently sympathetically restored to its former glory, the house's timeless elegance has been enhanced by state of the art facilities: large contemporary ensuites, Free WiFi throughout and satellite smart TV in each room. There is private offroad parking for several cars.
The accommodation is elegant and stylish; the spacious entrance hall with stained glass wall and doors has an open fire and leather sofas to complement the oak strip flooring and open oak staircase. Guests are welcome to use the large galleried landing which has seating by the Diocletian window overlooking the gardens - the perfect place to read.
The large dining room, with its dignified heritage colours and window overlooking the garden, is a relaxing room to enjoy your choice of a hearty full Welsh or a simpler breakfast.
Breakfast is available from 7.30am to 9.30am, although with prior notice, breakfast can be served outside these times. Start your breakfast with cereals and/or fruit juice, followed by a choice of bacon, egg, sausage, tomato and mushrooms. Homemade bread can be toasted to complete the meal. Our sausages and bacon are from a long-established family butcher, Brian Crane, in Maesycwmmer
If you prefer a simpler breakfast, homemade bread and locally made Welshcakes with locally sourced Welsh butter and preserves are available.
