The Afon Gwy Restaurant with Rooms is a grade II listed building. It was built around 1735 and is situated on the banks of the River Wye between Chepstow Castle and the Old Wye Bridge. The restaurant was formely known as the ""Half Moon Inn"" and information about its history can be found in many of the Chepstow reference books. The building also features in ""Turner's"" painting of Chepstow Castle.
All rooms are non-smoking.
The Afon Gwy offers a choice of four bedrooms to its guests depending on their occupancy. There are three double bedrooms and one family room. The family room contains a double and single bed. In addition a z-bed and cot can be provided if required. Most of the rooms also have a fabulous view over the River Wye. Always a warm welcome the Afon Gwy is centrally heated throughout and offers private en-suite bathrooms coloured television and radio alarm clocks. Each room also has tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms are non-smoking.
