Welcome.
Dairy Cottages offers 4-star quality self catering accommodation in a tranquil setting in the unspoilt Welsh countryside. Each cottage is self-contained; however, to accommodate larger parties, the downstairs halls can be opened as adjoining lounges.
The cottages are surrounded by 35 acres of rolling farmland, woods and stream with a woodland walk and fishing bank on the Clettwr River. On the farm is a landmark glacial feature called Cerrig Hyllod (The Ugly Stones) and visitors are welcome to follow the woodland path along the riverbank and up a fairly steep hill to the stony outcrop. Local history relates how these giant stones served in earlier times as a pulpit for a popular Welsh preacher who lived in the valley.
Brechfa Forest nearby is ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding. Excellent canoeing facilities are available in Llandysul and many watersport activities are on offer along the coastline. The beaches and seaside towns of Cardigan Bay are all within a reasonable driving distance and offer shopping, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants.
Each of our two cottages has under-floor heating on the ground floor and two comfortable loft bedrooms with radiators. The two bedrooms sleep four, with one double and two single beds. All the bedrooms have south-facing dormer windows overlooking the Clettwr valley. There is one bathroom and an en suite shower room in each cottage and a modern kitchen fully equipped for self-catering with fridge-freezer, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.
The rooms are tastefully decorated throughout to a high standard. The lounges are comfortably furnished and include Freesat TV and audio-visual system. Internet access is available for visitors via our WI-FI network.
Whether you are interested in walking, cycling, birdwatching, fishing, sailing, horse riding, browsing in local craft and antique shops or visiting historical sites, you will find a range of brochures in the holiday cottages about the many visitor attractions in west Wales. And while we cannot guarantee clear skies, our valley is sheltered from light pollution and offers some great star gazing in the evening from the deck and gardens of your holiday accommodation.
A relaxing haven for the outdoor enthusiast
