Good food and a friendly atmosphere will greet you in this popular pub. With a fully serviced bunkhouse offering full adult sized bunks fitted with fresh linen, no need for sleeping bags enabling you to travel light.

We have a drier for you to use if you have had a more energetic day or have been out in Wales' glorious liquid sunshine which we have from time to time.

If you're out and about on two wheels we also have a secured storage area for cycles.

We also have free WiFi so that you can use your laptop or smartphone to send back those pictures to your friends and family.

It's good to know that while you're enjoying the countryside you have a comfy base to return too with full serviced facilities, nothing like a nice hot shower at the end of the day. The bathroom is communal but, has a private dry changing space within each shower cubicle.

An extra £7.00 will provide you with a good breakfast consisting of a nice gammon with award winning pork and leek sausages, free range eggs, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes and black pudding served with toast and an unlimited amount of tea and coffee.

We are situated in the quiet village of Pontsticill close to the Brecon Mountain Railway but are only 3 miles from the busy Merthyr Tydfil town centre and if you want to go a little further we are only 25 miles from Cardiff. This is a popular area and is close to the reservoir which is a good site for watching birds.
