Cilhowey Cottage

A perfect getaway for riders, walkers, mountain bikers, or for anyone wishing to escape to the countryside. Stabling and grazing is available for horses. We have easy access to the open countryside accessed by a network of bridleways and footpaths as well as Brecon Beacons National Park to our south. The area is well suited to horse riders, mountain bikers and hikers alike.

The cottage is set in a quiet and secluded lane. Cilhowey cottage is a converted barn and it provides the perfect retreat after a day’s exercise. It is adjacent to the owners’ farm house where washing and drying facilities are available.

The cottage comfortably sleeps five. There is one double room and two loft bedrooms with one single and two single beds respectively. The cottage has full central heating, a log burner and hot water. It is a non-smoking holiday let and will accommodate well behaved dogs.

Further accommodation is available in the Annexe which is a converted laundry room. Please contact us if you would like further details. Hot evening meals can be pre-ordered by arrangement which can be eaten in the main farmhouse or delivered to the cottage. Packed lunches can also be provided upon request.

The Brecon Beacons National Park and the Book town of Hay-On-Wye are within 30 minutes easy drive and slightly further afield are the Aberglasney Gardens, The National Museum of Wales sites at Blaenavon and St Fagans. Above all, there is the beautiful countryside in which to walk and ride.
