Trefadog B&B and Caravan Site

TREFADOG farmhouse is a typical Welsh hall house dating back to the thirteenth century and, according to local historians is believed to be the oldest house on the Isle of Anglesey featuring cruck beam construction. Over the past twenty years it has been sympathetically restored and is now a homely and comfortable family dwelling but continues to retain a wealth of history.

TREFADOG stands only yards from a quiet sandy beach approx 3 miles south from Church Bay with plenty of rock pools to explore and is a wonderful vantage point to sit and watch the coming and going of the ferries that cross the Irish Sea from the Port of Holyhead to Ireland and, occasionally, the large cruise ships that anchor in the Bay.
(We provide a convenient overnight stop for anyone wishing to visit Ireland as we are only 20 minutes away from the Port of Holyhead.)

Access to the Anglesey coastal footpath is directly off our beach. The walk from Porth Trefadog towards Church Bay along the rugged coastline allows breathtaking views and is also of interest to bird watchers and nature lovers and can be walked in an hour or so - we are in an ideal position as a stop enroute for bed and breakfast when walking the coastal path.

We offer our bed and breakfast in a cottage suite - a twin bedded bedroom with a refreshment tray and ensuite bathroom with hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. A spacious comfortable sitting room exclusively for your use, with inglenook fireplace, TV, DVD and a piano for the more musical guest.

Breakfast is served at times to suit guests. All the ingredients are sourced locally.

We also have 5 caravan pitches with electric hook-ups. An ideal safe place for children with the beach only a few yards away from the site.
