Between Llyn Llywenan and Llanfachraeth off a quite pretty lane along a drive skirting a field, here you will discover Tanyfynwent.
A lovingly restored 17th century Grade 2 listed farmhouse, nestled amidst beautiful countryside. In the mid 19th Century a two storey farmhouse was built onto the original dwelling.
Tanyfynwent is on a livestock farm with an immaculate, rarely used, farmyard to one side.

Outside
There is a large lawn for children to play, and a path is kept cleared through the adjoining woodland to nearby gurgling stream with Grade 2 listed clapper bridge'. In season the woodland is full of snowdrops, daffodils and bluebells. A sheltered courtyard with picnic table provides a sunny setting for outdoor meals.
Ground Floor
The dining room features the original deep inglenook fireplace and pitch pine beamed celling and opens onto the courtyard and the compact kitchen which comprises an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Downstairs, also, is the bathroom with toilet, basin, bath and shower.
The spacious sitting room has comfortable furniture and a fireplace for the pleasure of an open fire. There is a remote control colour television.
Children of all ages (and maybe Mums & Dads!) have great fun in the separate games room with table football and snooker table to provide an evenings entertainment or to pass a rainy afternoon.
Upstairs
Upstairs are four bedrooms, two double rooms and two single rooms, which on request can take a put you up bed for extra guests. Bed linen are included and the beds have duvets with extra blankets supplied. There is also an extra small bedroom with a babys cot.
The same family has farmed Tanyfynwent for several generations. It is an historical site since parish church of Llanllibio was situated here at one time. It can still be clearly observed today hence, the name. Tanyfynwent which loosely translated means beside (or beneath) the cemetery.
