The Auckland Arms Hotel, Anglesey, is a small family-run hotel in the centre of the historic town of Menai Bridge, Anglesey, North Wales. A stone’s throw from the Menai Strait, the hotel is situated in one of the most picturesque parts of Wales.


On the banks of the Menai Strait and connected to the mainland by the Menai suspension bridge, Menai Bridge is your gateway to Anglesey and beyond. Our hotel is ideally located whether you want to explore the many fine sandy beaches of Anglesey or venture inland to explore the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales for a bracing walk. Being sheltered, the nearby Menai Strait is ideal for a range of watersports from kayaking to scuba diving and sailing.


We offer quality bed and breakfast at a competitive rate. The friendly bar serves a choice of real ales, various malt whiskies and fine wines from around the world. The garden and sun terrace are the perfect place to relax and let life’s little worries drain away.

We offer quality bed and breakfast at a competitive rate. Each of our generously sized en-suite rooms has it’s own character and charm. We have a range of bed and breakfast accommodation to suit your needs, including large rooms for families and a separate annex, ‘The Coach House’ with it’s own balcony - ideal for small groups.

All rooms have the usual bed and breakfast facilities including TV and tea and coffee making facilities. A number of rooms have DVD players and Freeview channels. Cots, extra beds, laundry, ironing and hair dryers are all available on request

At the Auckland Arms we serve tasty, fresh competitively priced food in a relaxed environment. Where possible we source our food from local sources and all of our dishes are homemade.

In the evening, food is served in the bar between 6pm and 10 pm every day and at lunch time on Fridays. We have a beautiful beer garden and sun patio and are happy to serve food outside whenever the weather permits.




Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 9.00. Guests can choose from a full cooked breakfast to a fresh continental breakfast. We also offer packed lunches for your onward journey. If you have special dietary requirements then please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

The beautiful Isle of Anglesey hugs the coast of North Wales and boasts over 100 miles of spectacular coastline within an area of outstanding natural beauty. Favourite attractions are the beaches around Anglesey, from unspoilt and extensive sandy beaches such as Newborough or Red Wharf Bay to more secluded coves. If you'd prefer an area that offers more active water pursuits, then Rhosneigr is the beach to visit. Because of it’s secluded nature, the Menai Strait is also popular for all types of watersports. The historic town of Beaumaris is a ten minute drive from Menai Bridge. Here you can spend the day shopping, explore th castle overlooking the Menai Strait or maybe take a boat trip to spot wildlife around Puffin Island or try your hand at angling.




If you are looking for an active holiday, the Isle of Anglesey has a lot to offer. Golfers are well catered for with numerous courses including four 18 hole courses. An extensive network of coastal and inland paths enable you to explore the wealth of Anglesey’s differing countryside - the Anglesey coastal path passes through Menai Bridge. Discovering the delights of Anglesey from a bicycle is becoming more popular and Anglesey has an extensive Sustrans route. Based at the Auckland Arms Hotel in Menai Bridge, you can easily visit Snowdonia or the Llyn peninsula as a day trip or why not combine both over a relaxing weekend break..

Also within a short drive from the hotel are the historic towns of Conwy and Llandudno – both very popular visitor attractions. The historic castles at Conwy, Beaumaris, Caernarfon and Harlech are well worth a visit.
