Ffos Ddu is a 28acre small holding with 2 self catering cottages, Beudy Mawr and Beudy Bach.
(Both sleep 2 but can sleep extra, Beudy Mawr with a sofa bed Beudy Bach has room for a single bed or cot.)
Set in the heart of rural Carmarthenshire for the peace and quiet of the coutryside, yet only 4 miles from the lovely market town of Llandeilo, with easy access to the M4 motorway and A40 trunk road on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Beudy Bach is a very spacious studio sleeping 2, comprising of a bedroom area with double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers and space for a single bed or cot if required,the living area has comfortable chairs, TV with dvd and freeview, dinning table and chairs, the kitchen area is a fully fiitted with gas hob and electric oven, fridge, microwave, kettle and a toaster and all the pans, china and cutlery you will need. The separate bathroom has a shower.
Beudy Mawr is a one bedroom cottage with kitchen, bathroom with shower and living room.
The living room is furnished with a wood burner easy chairs and a sofa that will convert in to a bed, dinning table and chairs TV with dvd and freeview. The bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers with space for cot if required. The kitchen area is a fully fiitted with gas hob and electric oven, fridge, microwave, kettle and a toaster and all the pans, china and cutlery you will need. The bathroom is fitted with a shower.
Both cottages face south westerly to enjoy the views over the surrounding country side. They have there own patio area with table and chairs and access to a BBQ.
There are paths cut through the woodland and along the river so guests can walk and enjoy the wild life.
The cottages are located at Ffos Ddu farm a 28 acre smallholding of woodland (with bluebells in the spring), meadows, lake and rivers for you to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. The wildlife includes deer, otter, rabbits and a large number of different birds from swallows, swifts and house martins in the summer, Canada geese in the spring whilst the red kite can often be seen flying over head most of the year.
The cottages are an ideal base for walking or cycling at Brecfa and Crychan forest or the Brecon Beacons, or there are some wonderful scenic drives. Aberglasney, The National Botanic Gardens, Dinfwr park and Newton House, Dolacouthi Goldmines and many castles within easy reach, the Redkite feeding station, RSPB and Wetlands Nature Reserve close by, the the coast and beaches not far away.
