A warm welcome is assured at Deri Isaf, a comfortable and spacious Victorian Country House, renovated and refurbished to the highest standards.
We bought the property in 1987, in a somewhat neglected state to put it mildly, and have lovingly transformed it into the Four Star property it is today. All rooms are beautifully furnished in traditional style a spacious conservatory overlooks the garden with guest lounge and dining room giving a panoramic view of the bay and surrounding countryside.
The property stands in 23 acres within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has the added attraction of superb countryside and coastal views over the Dulas Bay area.
Enjoy a delicious choice breakfast overlooking the stunning view to Dulas Bay.
Breakfast at Deri has earned us something of a reputation, of which we are very proud choose from a range of healthy options, or go for the Full Welsh to include produce from our own 'True Taste of Wales' Award Wining Smokery (www.derimonsmokery.co.uk) and free range eggs from the hens. Having the DeriMon Smokery and shop on the doorstep provides for a great choice of quality produce smoked is not compulsory for breakfast of course though. Many guests make the most of the shop to fill a cool box of goodies to take home too.
Double, twin, family and single bedrooms (including one with king sized four-poster and whirlpool bath) are all en-suite with full in-room facilities tv/video, hospitality tray, hairdryer etc. Whilst we are not licensed, there is a fridge on the landing for guest use, glasses and bottle opener in each room, so BYO if you like a nightcap! Furthermore, if you don't want to eat out you are welcome to make use of the dining room for a 'picnic' (to include food purchased from our DeriMon Smokery shop) or enjoy a wholesome home cooked mealby arrangement only.
A warm Welsh weclome awaits, with many of our guests returning regularly.
The extensive garden has woodland walks, a lovely summer house where you can see the sunsets over Parys Mountain and the windmills, and plenty of nature and birdlife to enthral.
Our land extends to 23 acres and guests are welcome to roam as they wish no dangerous animals, just friendly horses, shy sheep and our two dogs, Maggie and Cadi, who will happily accompany you on a walk if given half a chance!
Being just ½ mile from the main A5025 coastal road, allows for privacy, but not isolation, and means many lovely beaches and coves can be found just minutes away Lligwy Beach, Traeth yr Ora (one of Angleseys best kept beach secrets). Moelfre, Benllech and Porth Eilian among others. Parys Mountain (www.copperkingdom.co.uk) to the north is an amazing place to explore and, together with the Amlwch Industrial Heritage Trusts visitor centre in the Port, gives an insight into the world famous copper mining industry there from the 18th century. Bodafon Mountain, to the south, is another area to explore and enjoy a walk by the lake or up to the trig point at 620ft (highest point on mainland Anglesey) see the whole of the island from there or on a clear day as far as the Isle of Man. Locally, we have a Leisure Centre/Pool at Amlwch, Seawatch Centre and Lifeboat Station at Moelfre (www.moelfre.info) , fishing and boat trips and golf course at Bull Bay. Nowhere is far on Anglesey though, so there will always be plenty to do, whatever the weather!
Children/families are most welcome, dogs by arrangement, stabling/grazing available for horses.
We also have a three bedroomed static caravan for self-catering spacious and fully equipped, sited in a stunning location with own garden, decking etc. Perfect for a relaxing, peaceful go-as-you-please holiday.
Directions : On crossing either bridge on to Anglesey, take the A5025 road towards Amlwch, passing through Pentraeth and Benllech. Follow this road for some 12 miles, look out for a pub called The Pilot Boat on your right (going down the hill), then Dulas Bay Caravan and Boat centre; half a mile further on, turn left at minor cross roads (signage to Deri Isaf and DeriMon Smokery). We are half a mile on the left at junction. follow the drive to the end.
