Madog's Wells

Wren's Nest is a compact wheelchair accessible cottage, sleeps 3, (1 double, 1 single) very cosy.
Blackbird Cottage is spacious, plenty of wheelchair room, sleeps 6 (1 double, 2 twin-bedded rooms).
Swallow cottage is very spacious, plenty of wheelchair room, sleeps 6 (1 double, 2 twin-bedded rooms). Has a private balcony accessed from the lounge.

All three detached cottages have wet-room style shower rooms. The two larger cottages are purpose-built with lots of grab-rails in the wet-rooms. Swallow Cottage also has a bath in the wet-room.

Blackbird and Swallow Cottages have large well-equipped kitchen/diners, washing machines and dishwahers. Large open plan lounge with two 3-seater settees and a lounge chair in each. TVs have Sky Free Sat boxes and DVD players. Oil-fired central heating in all rooms.

Wren's Nest is as its name implies, small, cosy, and the heating is by Homeflame gas fire and plug-in radiators. There is a small kitchenette which contains a gas cooker, fridge, microwave and plenty of china, cutlery and cooking utensils. The washing machine is outside the cottage in the 'Payphone' cupboard. There are no hidden extra costs, all heating, electricty and gas are included in the prices.

A limited wireless internet access is available for guests to use. We have no mobile phone reception here so have installed a payphone for guests to use if they 'need to contact the outside world'.

Madog's Wells is set in 8 acres of countryside. It includes 6 acres of sloping fields and hedgerows, our house, the cottages and gardens. Llew's Patch is an area of woodland that has a path wending its way around a pond, across bridges, up slopes, passes benches put there for guests to enjoy the views, and down 85 steps to the edge of the stream. Follow the stream to the first bridge that was crossed and back to the cottages.

Quiet location, lots of wildlife all around. Ideal as a base for touring Mid Wales or just savouring the atmosphere.
