Beili Helyg Guest House

Luxurious 4* En-suite B&B in secluded and beautiful location.

Beili Helyg is an 18th century stone longhouse. The 3 individual guest rooms are separate from the farm in renovated stone barns; they are all en-suite, elegantly furnished and wonderfully spacious.

We believe in providing the most comfortable beds, and delicious breakfasts. We use the very best of available local ingedients

There are amazing views in every direction of the open moor and mountainside of the Brecon Beacons. We are in the heart of the countryside, in a very rural, quiet and peaceful spot.

Guests are very welcome to wander anywhere in the grounds and around our 16 acres of garden, native woodland and meadows: experience clean air, birdsong and peace.

This is the central section of the Brecon Beacons National Park at the head of the Cwm Cadlan valley, which is renowned for it's ancient landscape, with many prehistoric features - cairns, caves, a stone circle and standing stone. Further afield near Ystradfellte is Sarn Helen where you can walk in the footsteps of the Romans, and visit the large standing stones of Maen Madoc & Maen Llia.

We are in the Geo Park. For those interested in geology, this is a rich limestone area with shake holes, swallow holes, waterfalls, limestone pavements, caves and evidence of the Dinas fault.

Indoors we have a guest lounge with log burner and comfy sofas, ideal for relaxing and a dining room with maps on the wall to help you plan your activites.

This is waterfall country and no visit is complete without seeing at least one waterfall. The nearest is Sgwd yr Eira, the waterfall famous for being able to walk behind it, which is a 30 minute walk from Penderyn. We are also just a short drive from Storey Arms from where there is a clear route to the summit of Pen y Fan.

Other nearby outdoor activities include hiking and mountain walking, cycling, wild swimming, caving, climbing, sailing, gorge walking, canoeing, horse riding, bird watching, and fishing is available at reservoirs and rivers.

For walkers and cyclists, there is excellent walking or cycling from the door, the open access land is 5 minutes walk.

We have printed guides and maps, and can give you lots of help planning your adventures. We also offer a drop off service for you to walk back to Beili Helyg, from Dolygaer (via Taff Trail); Pontneddfechan (a waterfall walk); and Neuadd reservoir (over the peaks of Cribyn, Penyfan, and Corn Du).

We have a boot room and drying facilities, secure cycle lock up and can also provide you with a packed lunch and evening meal.

Our home & garden produce is on the menu daily, and we source our ingredients as locally as possible

What photographs don't show is the fresh mountain air, the complete peace & quiet, the uninterrupted long views in all directions, and the complete freedom of being so far away from the madding crowd. With no near neighbours, we have a fantastic view of the stars on clear nights.

Packed lunches & evening meals available.
