Tan Dinas is privately owned lodge that has recently been rebuilt to very high standards of warmth comfort and facilities to make your stay very enjoyable.

A charming lodge set in the most wonderful location above Traeth Bychan nr Benllech. Set in a field with a scattering of other similar properties, Tan Dinas is a delightful holiday home. A quiet family site it is ideal for a peaceful break. This recently refurbished property offers comfortable accommodation with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Tan Dinas is positioned at the top of the field and has fine views down towards the bay. It is within a few minutes walk of the coast with miles of shoreline to explore. There is a decking area to the front which is an ideal place to enjoy a meal and the view.

Ground Floor

Kitchen/ lounge

The spacious open plan room has a modern well equipped kitchen area and delightful breakfast bar with two modern high seats providing wonderful views of the sea, the kitchen provides plenty of worktop space, a double oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and toaster. A wooden table, complete with four leather chairs completes the kitchen/dining area.The main feature of the lounge is the wonderful view of the sea and the shoreline towards Traeth Bychan near Benllech. There is an ‘L’ shaped comfy sofa, a 40in Flatscreen TV with built in Freeview, a DVD player and surround sound system in the lounge.

Bedroom 1

There is a spacious ground floor double bedroom with bedside cabinet, drawers and a wardrobe.

Bedroom 2

This twin-bedded ground floor bedroom contains two single beds, a wardrobe, a bedside cabinet, and chest of drawers.

Bathroom

The ground floor bathroom contains a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, wash basin and toilet.

Entertainment

The lounge has a 40 inch LCD TV with built in Freeview, a DVD player and surround sound system. A variety of DVDs are stored under the TV. There is wireless internet available; the wireless box is located in the cupboard above the front door.

Outside

A door from the lounge leads to a decking area with patio table and seating for four, an ideal place for an evening meal and to enjoy the beautiful views over Traeth Bychan and the surrounding country side. There is private parking for two cars at the side of the lodge.

The surrounding area

On Anglesey, there’s something for everyone, whether you’re planning a family day out with the kids or a relaxing afternoon on one of our lovely sandy beaches, we hope you like some of the suggestions below:

East coast beaches

The East Coast of Anglesey offers a number of extensive golden beaches all along the A5025 such as Llanddona (quiet and remote), Red Wharf Bay (home to the famous Ship Inn), Benllech (more like a traditional British seaside resort).

Traeth Bychan, a pretty sandy beach – when the tides out, the small stone and concrete boat park make it a favourite with sailors and the jet-ski fraternity, Just 25 metres or so from the beach as you go up the lane is Traeth Bychan beach cafe which sells cold and hot drinks, ice creams and snacks, while next to this is a car park and toilets.

Traeth Lligwy a huge sandy beach, family and dog friendly, not too crowded even on a busy summer’s day, with toilets and a café on the South Car Park.A great beach for building sand castles, crabbing in rock pools, kite and wind surfing, dolphin and seal watching – take a picnic and stay all day!

North coast beaches

At the north end of the A5025, Amlwch is a historic fishing village associated with the ‘Copper Kingdom’ of Parys Mountain whereas Cemaes Bay is an attractive beach resort, close to Cemlyn nature reserve and Church Bay (Porth Swtan) with its tall cliffs and the oldest cottage on Anglesey.

West coast beaches

Newborough Forest (off the A4080) leads to Llanddwyn Island through a wonderful avenue of Corsican pines and fine golden sand to a mystical island steeped in ancient folklore. A beautiful, untouched clean beach, Newborough is a hidden gem of a beach! The beach and the forest is owned by the National Trust and they’ve recently built BBQ facilities, toilets and a new boardwalk that’s suitable for wheelchairs.The southern corner of Anglesey has a lot to recommend it – Llanddwyn Beach at Newborough is a blue flag beach with miles of sandy beach, it’s one of our favourite beaches! Whether you want to build sandcastles, relax, swim, windsurf, kite-surf or take a walk to Llanddwyn Island and explore its lovely cove beaches, Llanddwyn beach is well worth a visit.

Malltraeth has a fine estuary famous for its waterfowl and Aberffraw was once the seat of Welsh princes. A short walk through the wide expanse of dunes takes you to the glorious sands of Aberffraw beach. Rhosneigr is a famous water sport resort with a mouth-watering array of cafes and bistros.
