Organically run for over 40 years, the Nurtons B&B is set in 30 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland, providing you with peace and tranquility during your stay.
This is the oldest house in Tintern, with parts dating from the 12C or earlier. It also has rich historical associations.
We are currently listed in Alastair Sawday's Special Places to Stay with awards in the Ethical Collection for Food and Environment.
By The Nurtons' very nature and long history, each ensuite B&B has its own unique and lovely character; from the modern to Elizabethan, and perhaps earlier.
There is also a spacious self-catering apartment with splendid views over the valley and hills.
Many country walks start from your doorstep, giving access to scenery and abundant wildlife in some of the most important woodland in the UK.
Further afield are numerous attractions including castles, cathedrals and the Forest of Dean.
Enjoy delicious home baking and fresh garden produce. We've been growing fruit and vegetables organically here for more than 40 years.
Our own spring water is available for drinking and our own honey when the season permits.
Generous and varied continental-style buffet breakfasts provide a delicious alternative to the traditional English.
We offer tasty and imaginative vegetarian evening platters, ( fish or chicken dishes may be provided on request.) They are available by arrangement and served by cosy candlelight in our historic dining room or in the garden on warm evenings.
If you are dining out, Monmouthshire has a growing reputation for fine dining.
If you wish, why not pamper yourself during your stay and book a relaxing treatment? Qualified practioners offer massage and reflexology in a peaceful, private treatment room.
