We are situated on the outskirts of the market town of Abergavenny which affords good railway links to Cardiff, Bristol and Hereford and a local bus station. We are also only 25 minutes drive from the M4 corridor.

The local shops, pubs and restaurants are only 2 minutes walk away and we offer FREE private on-site parking for up to 30 vehicles. There is a theatre, museum and lots of other lovely attractions in the town. We are based in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park and are 20 minutes from the Wye Valley.

January 2008 saw the launch of our new website website link
where education groups, businesses and the public can find information on environmental field studies, 3-Star Visit Wales accredited accommodation and conference/meeting venues.

In 2007 Mulberry House (Ty'r Morwydd in Welsh) was awarded the Level 4 Green Dragon Award for sustainable environmental practices.

Mulberry House was a finalist in the 2007 Wales National Tourism Awards and Val Snell, their wonderful housekeeper, was nominated for the Extra Mile award.

Mulberry House is pleased to announce its partnership with the Youth Hostel Association as an independent enterprise hostel now known as YHA Abergavenny where accommodation bookings can now be made online ( A launch event was held on 18th January with local historian and publisher, Chris Barber, CBE.
