"Anglesey's coastline is both spectacular and diverse."
And if you want to get away from it all? No problem. We are on Anglesey's wildest and most unspoilt stretch of coastline, much of which is cared for by the National Trust. In fact, most of the coastal area is classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Nature
Spring and summer turn the Isle of Anglesey into a giant rock garden, carpeted with flowers of every hue. Enthusiasts may seek out the rare marsh gentian or pale heath violet but anyone who strolls or rides through our landscape is free to enjoy the display of colours.
History
If History is your thing, the first evidence of human habitation on Anglesey dates back to the Mesolithic period, in about 7000 BC. And check out the village of Cemaes, just up the road from Coed Cottages, originally a fishing village, it became a centre for shipbuilding and exporting marble and limestone.
