Ciderhouse Cottage

Ciderhouse Cottage enjoys a central location in the beautiful rolling countryside of Monmouthshire, nestled between the Black Mountains & Brecon Beacons and the Wye Valley. Original oak beams and under floor heating together with many extras will make your stay here extra special. Take in the fresh, clean air and enjoy wonderful views and walks from the farm including our individually designed 5 miles ‘Rolls Circuit’ which gives you a real feel for the history and beauty of the area. We are just 5 miles from the medieval town of Monmouth. Monmouth offers two theatres - Blake Theatre and the Savoy theatre and cinema (the oldest theatre in Wales).

Built in the early 1800s and originally the cart shed, Ciderhouse Cottage is equipped and furnished with care. It has an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area and three bedrooms. It has the benefit of a gas wood burner making it nice and snug in the winter.

The family room has a double and single bed with a spacious walk in wet room en suite on the ground floor together with a twin room and an additional bathroom. A further twin room is on the first floor.

Ciderhouse Cottage has been designed to be accessible to everyone including those with wheelchairs. Children are most welcome. A cot and high chair are available and included in the price.

Once you have recharged your batteries there are plenty of activities locally including water sports on the River Wye which was voted the public’s favourite river in England and Wales. Cycle the ‘Peregrine Trail’ alongside the Wye to Symonds Yat.
For walkers the famous ‘Offa’s Dyke’ path and ‘Three Castles Walk’ are both approximately two miles away. For golfers the 'Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club' is just down the road.
Complete a perfect day with a visit to one of our many superb country restaurants and hostelries for which our area is renowned. Monmouthshire has recently been named the top food destination in Wales. You will be spoilt for choice!
