The Northwood

Home away from Home.

The Northwood is a family run Guesthouse with six rooms on the first floor and one double on the ground floor that is accessible to a wheelchair user including a new wet room. The Northwood is situated in the heart of lovely Rhos on Sea, some 175 yards from the high-class shops and the Promenade. For those not travelling by car the Llandudno to Colwyn Bay bus passes the front door and from the sea front to Rhyl. Quietly placed we do not suffer any of the noise from the A55 Expressway or the Railway.

“One Day”,”Mid-Week” & “Mini-Break” bookings are accepted and Special Rates are offered throughout the year.
There is adequate PRIVATE car parking for our guests - we are one of the few guesthouses in the area with this facility.

Our Guests Lounge, with large colour television, offers guests a warm and friendly atmosphere where one may relax after the activities of the day - be they strenuous or otherwise!

Our lounge is where one can meet other guests in comfort so that they become no longer strangers but friends you had not met before.

Our enclosed patio is open for guests to enjoy the afternoon sun and maybe a game of chess or chequers among the many flowers and bird song.

Gardeners can take pleasure in the raised flower beds and the variety of summer flowers. The flowers are selected for the enjoyment of all and include many scented to attract ladybirds and bees.

The Dragon Amateur Radio Club & Radio Amateur Emergency Radio Network command vehicle.

News & Special Offers

We are pleased to let guests know we have been able to reduce our tariff by 16% overall for 2024 due to the utilities & food costs coming down.

We had kept our prices the same for 2020, 21, 22 to make a holiday in Rhos on Sea affordable but in 2023 we had to increase our tariff as utilities & food costs shot up - sorry.

Best news of all is that our fantastic new sea front promenade is now open (fully by Easter) with lots of new seating to sit in the sun and watch the world go past, tables, exercise items, feet wash and some parabolic speakers to amuse you. There is now plenty of new parking on the sea front including new charging points for electric vehicles.

This is the link to the Daily Post article on our fantastic new sea front. website link#lrxl9173zq4l9jrlobk

Last of all please remember that all Wales now has a 20mph speed limit in built up streets (all old 30mph streets). Please do not get yourself a Welsh new year gift of £100 fine for speeding.
