In the heart of some of Britain's most beautiful countryside you couldn't pick a nicer spot to explore this wild and wonderful countryside. On the doorstep of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons and walking distance of the River Wye, you will never be short of something to keep you occupied.
The Baskerville Arms is just 1.3 miles from the famous town of Hay-on-Wye, known throughout the world as the 'Town of Books'. This unique town with its maze of narrow ancient streets, now houses over 30 bookshops, a variety of galleries, antique and gift shops and numerous cafes and tearooms.
There is so much to see and do in this beautiful part of the country. Whether you'd like to go canoeing on the River Wye, tackle the Black Mountains by mountain bike, shoot at clay pigeons or perhaps take an exhilarating walk and then relax in our comfortable lounge bar, there is something for all ages!
The Baskerville Arms was once more famously known as "The Swan" in the diaries of Reverend Francis Kilvert from the late 1800s. Nestled in the village of Clyro we are just 1.3 miles from the famous town of Hay-on-Wye.
At the Baskerville Arms we pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere with the highest standards of hospitality. As a small family run Inn we believe in the personal touch to ensure every guest gets the most from their stay.
